After a summer of interning at luxury brand Rosie Assoulin, I assisted in the planning and execution of their spring/summer 2020 New York Fashion Week Presentation at Bocce in Union Square. For this project I worked alongside the PR manager to put the presentation together and create an experience for those invited. I assisted in a wide variety of tasks from checking the guest list and confirming or denying requests to attend the show, to manning the pickling station on the day of show. The pickling station was definitely a unique attribute of the presentation. The head chef of Bocce assisted the guests in making their own pickled vegetables and I tied a square of remnant fabric to the top of the jar along with instructions. I worked closely with Bocce’s head chef prior to the event as well as the pickling station was a core part of the decoration, which set the mood for the presentation. I communicated with her to determine what would be needed and retrieved the vegetables she requested from the farmers market then worked to put the display together which can be seen below. Lastly, on the day of the presentation, I was placed in charge of all the other interns to ensure all the little tasks were getting executed properly and my superiors could focus on larger tasks.
